I had a nice pair of rollerblades. I was afraid to wreck them, so I kept them in a box. Is blinded by an outdoor light, trips over a Christmas tree, and gets tangled up in its lights. Attempts to pull himself up the butter-covered stairs by grabbing a railing which breaks, causing him to fall down several stairs. Has his head accidently get hit by a door repeatedly by Pam. Gets his foot caught in a strand of Christmas lights while trying to climb into a window, causing him to lose his balance, fall, swing around, and crash into the house.

If they're back from Paris, I'll drop in on them. They usually give pretty good presents. Don't flash these babies around here! There could be girls on this floor!
Macaulay Culkin: Kevin
As Kevin wishes for his mother to return, Kate's intuition proves correct, as she then observes Kevin in front of the Rockefeller Center's Christmas tree. The two embrace and apologize to each other before heading back to the Plaza as Kate explains that, like Kevin, the family didn't like the palm trees in Florida either. Kevin looks out the window and discovers he is not in Florida.

He pulls a light string and a welding torch lights his scalp on fire. What keeps the traps in Home Alone from being too goofy or over the top is the sound design. A lot of slapstick comedies tend to use silly sound effects that often reduce the comedy more than anything but that is not the case with Home Alone 2. Landing on the pavement would have been bad, but Harry crashes right into a car and caves it in.
The Deadly Bricks
Marv getting hit on the head with four bricks, for example, was cut down to only one. "You can mess with a lot of things, but you can't mess with kids on Christmas." One of the aspects that makes Home Alone 2's traps so effective is Harry and Marv's memory of the first movie. Harry in particular is constantly testing for traps, but then he gets cocky in the bathroom.
Set one year after the first film, The McCallister family is preparing to spend Christmas in Miami, and gathers at Peter and Kate's Chicago home. Their youngest son, Kevin, views Florida as contradictory to Christmas, due to its tropical climate and lack of Christmas trees. Chekhov's Gun The inflatable Bozo the Clown. It’s given to Kevin at the start of the film as a gift from his grandmother, then he uses it in the hotel to fool the concierge that there’s someone in the shower.
A Classic Door Trap
I don't want to be left here. At a school pageant, during Kevin's solo, his older brother Buzz pranks him; Kevin retaliates by pushing him, which causes the entire choir to fall, ruining the pageant. At home, Buzz makes a false apology, which the family accepts, berating Kevin when he says he retaliated for Buzz humiliating him. Kevin insults his family for believing Buzz's lies and for spending Christmas in a tropical climate, and storms off to the attic, wishing to have his own vacation alone. Kevin gets on the wrong plane and his parents find out while checking their baggage. They report to security where Peter jokes that at least they don't lose their luggage.
Peter reveals that he doesn't have his wallet, which contains a family photo and loads of cash, checks, and credit cards and remembers that Kevin was looking for batteries and has his wallet and travel bag. The Miami police states that Kevin can still be tracked down if he tried using one of the credit cards and Kate replies that she does not think Kevin knows how to use a credit card. We spent 9 months in jail thinking we had the worst luck in the universe. We busted out and we’re doing fine.
Home Alone Vs. Home Alone 2: Which Is Actually The Better Movie
He stole Home Alone 2 in nearly every scene, even getting a trap from Kevin. Harking back to the first movie, Kevin plays the Angels With Filthier Souls VHS. The Editor quotes "You can mess with a lot of things, but you don't mess with kids on Christmas" from the classic film.

And although the scheme doesn't work out according to plan because of Kevin, you have to admit that this is a pretty ingenious way of pulling off a big job. After entering the plane, a French passenger won't stop talking in French to Kevin, so he puts on headphones. Kevin's parents questions the Plaza staff about how they would let a kid check in a by himself, but the staff for some reason never mention the fact he had them convinced his father was staying with him. They do however say that he 'had a very convincing story', even though they don't go into detail of what it was. In Home Alone, Kevin's cousin counts heads and there are 15 people between the two families. In Home Alone 2, there are only 14 boarding passes between the two families.
You know, Kevin, the last time we all tried to take a trip, we had a problem that started just like this. Ma'am, my feet are hardly touching the ground. I'm barely able to look over the counter. How can I make a reservation for a hotel room? A kid coming into a hotel, making a reservation? Let's see what the police have to say about this.

The only Home Alone film to feature real snow. A snow machine was used for certain scenes but a blizzard engulfed the set before the shoot, providing more snow than anticipated. In some airings of the movie, they cut out the scene with Kevin at the World Trade Center due to 9/11. As Harry checks his teeth after the explosion, Marv climbs a stack of furniture to try and get back on the upper floor. As he reaches the top, the stack falls down, leaving him hanging.
He uses Peter's credit card to check in at the Plaza Hotel, not knowing that the Wet Bandits have also reached the city after escaping from prison. He uses the variable-speed playback on his Talkboy tape recorder to fool the hotel staff into thinking they're talking with Peter so he can reserve a room. The recorder was originally built only as a non-working prop, but enough kids wrote in asking about it that Tiger Electronics eventually started to produce it. The bandits chase Kevin from Duncan's to his uncle's house on West 95th street on the Upper West Side. The distance between F.A.O. Schwartz and his uncle's address is about 2.5 miles in real life. Harry and Marv think they got Kevin figured out.

Kevin and the rest of the McCallister family head off with their planes. It seems highly unlikely that the entire family managed to get a last-minute flight from Miami to New York on Christmas Eve as this would be an incredibly busy time, hence their difficulty in getting back from Paris in the first film. When Kevin followed a man thinking it was his dad, a flight attendant lets him into the plane asking if that man was his dad. In reality, the flight attendant wouldn't let a minor on the plane with someone they don't know very well as they would have to suggest to wait for his parents to get him. Therefore, he wouldn't have been able to travel to New York. As the McCallisters are running through the O'Hare terminal, an announcement about the flight to New York being in the final boarding process can be heard, with the flight's number given as 226.
Home Alone: The Holiday Heist
You can mess with a lot of things, but you can't mess with kids on Christmas. Gets hit in the head by a bag of flour connected to a rope and a jug of milk connected to another rope. Finn shoots her three times in the butt with ping pong balls using his slingshot. This causes her to kick Sinclair and Hughes hard in the groin and face when they're trying to pull her out of the window.
